Dr. Nate Mainord
Dr. Nate Mainord’s journey in chiropractic care reflects a blend of dedication, expertise, and a passion for serving individuals at every stage of life. His academic and professional milestones illustrate a continual pursuit of knowledge and a profound commitment to advancing health in his community.

Early Life and Education
Dr. Mainord is an alumnus of Jackson County High School, having graduated in 1998. His academic path led him to Tennessee Tech University, where he earned his undergraduate degree in 2007. Driven by a calling to health and wellness, he continued his education at Palmer College, where he achieved his Doctorate of Chiropractic in 2011.

In 2013, Dr. Mainord and his wife, Melissa, established Optimal Health and Performance. Their clinic has quickly became a beacon for individuals seeking holistic and personalized care. Together, they have fostered an environment where patients are treated like family, and health is approached from a whole-person perspective.

A strong advocate for care across the lifespan, Dr. Mainord is committed to serving patients of all ages. His pursuit of excellence is evident in his ongoing education, with a particular emphasis on prenatal and infant chiropractic care. Elena Alemendarez, LMT
Licensed Massage Therapist
Graduating from Mind Body Institute, LLC in 2019, Elena embarked on a rewarding career in massage therapy, joining OHP that same year. With a commitment to holistic wellness and client-centered care, she has attained certifications in Deep Tissue Massage, Swedish Massage, RockTape application, and Cupping. Elena’s comprehensive training and hands-on expertise enable her to offer a range of therapeutic techniques tailored to individual needs, supporting both relaxation and physical recovery.

Holly Dishman, LMT
Licensed Massage Therapist
Holly Dishman, LMT, is a Licensed Massage Therapist that calls Sparta, Tennessee home. She is dedicated to the art and science of therapeutic bodywork. With a commitment to holistic wellness, Holly provides attentive, individualized care designed to promote relaxation, relieve tension, and enhance overall well-being. As an LMT, Holly upholds the highest standards of professionalism and compassion, working to create a healing environment where clients can restore balance and vitality.
A graduate of Georgia Career Institute in 2009, Holly has been a valued member of Optimal Health and Performance since 2015. Holly’s expertise spans sports massage, deep tissue techniques, postpartum care, integrated reflexology, and she is FMT certified with RockTape. Always striving to expand her skills, Holly is currently pursuing certification in Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD), further enriching the comprehensive care she offers her clients.

Makenna May, LMT
Licensed Massage Therapist
Makenna May is a licensed massage therapist that has been with Optimal Health and Performance since graduating from the Mind Body Institute, LLC in 2025. Originally from Huntsville, Alabama; Makenna now calls Cookeville home. She offers Swedish and Therapeutic massage and is pursuing her certification in Craniosacral Fascial Therapy (CFT) with the Gillespie Approach.

Jenny Trapp
Receptionist
Jenny joined Optimal Health and Performance in 2024. She feels blessed to be a part of the OHP family and truly believes that is what OHP is, a family. Jenny values the office's commitment to promoting a healthy environment that supports the physical and mental well-being of both patients and staff.

Kim Snyder
Receptionist
Kim began working at Optimal Health and Performance in 2023 and strongly supports a holistic approach to health. She values building and sustaining relationships with patients and takes particular satisfaction in observing the physical progress achieved through chiropractic care for both community members and their pets.

Rachel Williams
Office Manager
Rachel has been with Optimal Health and Performance since 2020 and is an advocate for the holistic approach to wellness and Dr. Mainord’s unwavering commitment to his patients.
